Q. How can I join DepList as a Full Member?

Once you have found a current member of DepList who is willing and qualified to sponsor you onto DepList, your sponsor will be asked to confirm their nomination and to provide a reference for you. (You may also ask a non-member to provide an additional reference for you by filling in this form.) You will then be asked to supply a CV and to fill in our on-line application form. Neverthless, the final decision rests with the Owners, and the Owners do not consider themselves under any obligation to state their reasons for not accepting an application. Only experienced professional musicians with proven competence and a good track record will be admitted.

Students in full-time education and those under 21 years of age do not qualify to join. Recent graduates who have been choral scholars should have a minimum of six months' depping experience in a variety of contexts outside the university where they held their choral scholarship. Those without a choral background will need at least a year of regular work experience in the right repertoire and venues before they can be considered to meet our admission requirements. Membership of DepList is by subscription, which is payable annually. The fee is currently £10, valid for one calendar year from the date of joining. Q. How do I sponsor a new member onto DepList?

If you have been a paid-up Full Member (not an Associate) for at least six months you may sponsor a new member onto the list by filling in our sponsors' form. You will find this in the Members' Area. (Non-members are welcome to provide an additional reference.)

Q. What do I get in return for my subs?

• Unlimited use of our messaging service, whereby you send one email which reaches all our members
• Job opportunities that you might not otherwise hear about, including many that come in from outside advertisers
• The option to promote yourself by submitting a profile to our Listings pages, with a link to your own homepage (see below)

When you join DepList you will automatically receive messages from other members and outside advertisers who are seeking deputies. If you need a deputy at short notice, you will be able to post a single message that will be sent to all the subscribers on the list. As a member, you will also have the option to add your name and details to the listings on this site (see below).

Provided you are a paid-up member of DepList you may register your details on this site and create a profile which will appear on our Members' Listings pages. You will be able to update your profile instantly whenever you wish. To register your details, please go to the Members' Area.
