Charles Blamire-Brown

Former bass lay clerk at Guildford Cathedral and choral scholar at Durham Cathedral. Experienced sightreader. Experience of all types of choral music - happy to sing one per part/solo.

Michael Burke

Michael is an experienced choral singer and is on the lists of the BBC Singers and other professional choirs. He studied at the RNCM and the RAM, both as postgraduate. Keen on a wide range of choral styles from polyphonic to contemporary, he is free during the week and on Sunday evenings.

Paul Charrier

Freelance chorister (BBC ad hoc; Geoffrey Mitchell Choir), soloist (VW Fantasia on Christmas Carols with Northern Sinfonia; Bernstein Chichester Psalms with Bournemouth SO) and opera singer (Guglielmo in Cosi fan Tutte, Morales in Carmen). Lay clerk at Guildford Cathedral.

Richard Collier

Baritone (with some low notes). Available weekdays and weekends (at last, no regular Sunday Job). Wide repertoire (but will read it anyway); square notes no problem. Chosen specialised subject: London Heathrow Terminal 2.

James Davey

Available 24-7, reliable and pleasant to work with. James is an experienced freelance choral singer with a versatile voice and excellent sightreading, comfortable and proficient in all styles of choral music: early, classical, jazz, 20th-century, pop, world, etc. Any work considered.

Will Dawes

Baritone. Former student of choral conducting and voice at the RAM; now lay clerk at Christ Church, Oxford. Currently ad-hoc with BBC Singers, as well as regular work with Stile Antico, Oxford Camerata, etc. Frequent other consort and fixing work in UK and beyond.

Simon Desbruslais

Currently a bass lay-clerk at St George's RC Cathedral and an ex-choral scholar at King's College London. I have a useful extended lower range and I am available throughout the week, including Sunday afternoons.

William Gaunt

Bass-baritone. Lay clerk at Westminster Cathedral. Ex King's, Cambridge, and Christ Church, Oxford. Extensive choral and consort experience (Tenebrae, Gabrieli Consort, Binchois Consort, BBC ad hoc, etc) and solo work. Excellent reading, perfect pitch, etc. Generally available, except Sunday mornings.

Gabriel Gottlieb

Baritone. Ex Clare College (Cambridge) choral scholar. Very good sightreader, not fazed under pressure. Member of Monteverdi Choir. Particularly likes late Romantic and contemporary repertoire and equally at home in church music, opera or oratorio. Comfortable in French, German, Italian or Latin. No Sunday church job and often available at short notice. Experienced synagogue singer.

Christian Goursaud

Experienced bass-baritone with excellent sightreading. Gentleman of Her Majesty's Chapel Royal, Hampton Court Palace, also former choral scholar of King's College, London, and Rochester Cathedral. Available for all solo and consort work. Greatly enjoys travel.

Paul Hedley

Bass/baritone. Ex Magdalen College, Oxford, choral scholar and lay clerk; now lay clerk at Gloucester Cathedral. Extensive choral and depping experience, and good sightreading. Available particularly in school holidays.

John Herford

Baritone. Former lay clerk at St. John's, Cambridge, and choral scholar at Caius, Cambridge. Also sung with Stile Antico, English Voices, OAE etc. Good sightreader with perfect pitch. No position at the moment, so usually available.

Adrian Horsewood

Baritone, ex-Jesus and Trinity, Cambridge. Excellent sight-reader, perfect pitch. Currently at Royal Hospital Chelsea on Sunday mornings, but generally free during the week. Frequent dep at St Paul's, the Abbey etc. All sorts of work enjoyed!

Chris Hunter

Experienced low bass. Has a day job so not usually available daytime on weekdays. Sings regularly at St Supulchre's, and deps at the Royal Hospital and St John's Wood.

Tom Kennedy

Baritone with low extension, good sight-reader: ex-New College and experienced dep before taking regular Sunday job at St Magnus the Martyr. Currently post-grad at GSMD. Available anytime except Sunday mornings!

Rod McPhee

Baritone with good top (very handy in Poulenc Mass!). Former lay clerk at St Albans and regular dep at Windsor. Very experienced soloist in recital, concert and opera. However, not "solo-ish" when singing in ensemble or choir.

Andrew McWilliams

Baritone with low notes. Studied at King's College, Cambridge and Trinity College of Music, and has worked with ENO, WNO, Scottish Opera, the BBC Singers and on the London church scene.

Nick Moodie

Baritone/bass in the London area. Previously at Norwich Cathedral. Good sightreader, available at short notice.

James Oldfield

Ex Trinity and John's, Cambridge. Bass-baritone. Now postgrad at the RCM. Currently no position, so free weekdays and weekends. Regular dep at Temple, Windsor and Eaton Square. Consort work with Monteverdi Choir, Polyphony, AAM, etc.

Aidan Oliver

Ex King's College, Cambridge, choral scholar. Now Director of Music at St Margaret's, Westminster. Highly skilled sightreader with attractive baritone voice. Able to take on high baritone parts with ease as well as having a strong core range. Experienced at plainsong (ex Westminster Cathedral chorister) and has perfect pitch. Based at Westminster Abbey, so worth trying at short notice, except for Sunday mornings.

Oliver Piper

Former bass choral scholar in Durham Cathedral Choir, Edington Festival, etc. Now based in London and available weekends and occasional weekdays. Sightreading not a problem!

Ed Saddington

Bass with excellent range, including good low notes and sightreading skills. Experienced cathedral musician and soloist; ex-chorister of Southwell Minster and ex-choral scholar of Portsmouth Cathedral. Currently singing with the Royal Hospital, Chelsea; St. Sepulchre-without-Newgate; Rochester Cathedral, etc. Available at short notice seven days a week (no Sunday AM due to RHC).

Jeremy de Satgé

Former principal bass lay clerk at Worcester. Member of the Guards' Chapel Choir, 1993-2002. Currently Director of Music at the Church of the Holy Ghost, Balham. Also available as conductor and directs own group called Cantamus. Also composer and music publisher. Founding partner of The Music Makers, specialising in publishing new original works of liturgical music.

Jonathan Stainsby

Former baritone lay clerk at Christ Church, Oxford, and choral scholar at Caius, Cambridge. Experienced consort singer and soloist with very good sight-reading.

Daniel Sumner

Versatile Bass/Baritone. Experienced solo and choral singer, with wide repertoire and excellent sight reading skills. Until recently Gentleman of the Chapel Royal, Hampton Court Palace, and formerly of Wells Cathedral. Based in Tonbridge, and willing to travel. Available for concerts, services and recordings.

Jonathan Wagstaff

Jonathan is an ex-Queen's Oxford Lay Clerk and Choral Scholar. He has extensive solo choral experience, including broadcasts and recordings, and deps regularly at the Guards Chapel, All Saint's Margaret Street and The Royal Hospital.
